This year’s Krost
Symposium is over Environmental Justice and Texan Response to Global Crisis.
The events happening over the next few days will explore exactly what
environmental justice means and what we can do now that will make a difference
for future generations.
This Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
special guest and keynote speaker, Robert Bullard will be speaking about
building sustainable and just communities. Why should Texas Lutheran University
be excited about this? Dr. Bullard is commonly referred to as the Father of
Environmental Justice and has written eighteen books completely devoted to
environmental racism, sustainable development, urban land use, as well as many
others. In short, this is a man who knows what he is talking about, and we as
students of Texas Lutheran University and young people with the ability to help
shape the future have a duty to be educated on how we can help move society along. In addition to Dr. Bullard’s talk, there are
also other events and speakers appearing at TLU addressing similar issues. Here’s
