In the second quarter it looked as if
we had bitten off more than we could chew for our homecoming game. The 25-14
score in favor of ETBU only rallied the Bulldogs like some sort of Ray Lewis
locker room speech, by the end of the fourth quarter and after several rushing
plays our story had been told.
Marquis Barrolle rushed for 247 yards
in total and scored two touchdowns, A.J. Saucedo matched Barrolle’s TD’s while
Conner Baird and Caleb Oliver caught important passes to each score once.
This ignition in our offense helped
the Bulldogs remain undefeated, their current record being 6-0.
Trenton White occupied the quarterback
position for the entire game, he found J.B. Brown, Lewis Williams and Barrolle
early in the first quarter for some yardage.
The second quarter was dominated by
rushing plays involving Saucedo and Barrolle.
The third quarter flurry of TD’s and
field goals closed up some of the gap in score, putting them in a better
position to start the 4th quarter.
The combination of White’s passes and
Suacedo’s rushing put the finishing touches on the final score, securing the
homecoming victory necessary to match the intensity and pride in the alumni and
fans.
